We are supposed to look like the church that the Lord built. He is the head, and we should be on one accord. Our purpose is to be witnesses to Jesus Christ.
You can’t function correctly if you don’t know who is in control. As the church we need to know who we report to! It’s Jesus, our Lord and Savior!

Matthew 16:24 Follow me means in this verse that we immediately detach from personal interests and attachment to Christ. This is so we can reflect the light of Christ by loving and praying for those we live and work with. Sharing Jesus in our communities.
Let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me
Too many times, we say that we are Christian and some don’t walk, look, or talk like him because we forget to deny ourselves.
Denying ourselves means turning away from the ways of the “old self” and continually putting on our new self in Christ
